Stretch mark treatment

Stretch marks are a form of scarring on the skin. They are red or purple to start with, before gradually fading to a silvery-white colour. They are caused by tearing of the epidermis associated with rapid growth or rapid weight changes. Hormonal changes of puberty, pregnancy, bodybuilding or hormone replacement therapy may also influence stretch marks. Stretch marks can occur anywhere where the skin has been stretched, but they usually affect areas where fat is stored: abdomen, breasts, thighs, hips, lower back and buttocks.

Most stretch marks aren't particularly noticeable and will fade over time. If you have unsightly stretch marks, or if they affect a large area of your body, there are a few treatment options available in our salon that can reduce or make them disappear.

1. Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion removes the dead cells from your skin using vacuum and micro crystals. Wiping off the surface layer of epidermis enhances the production of new skin cells, by this means the condition of skin improves, the depth of stretch marks reduces and smaller lines disappear. Skin becomes tauter and more elastic.

2. Vitalaser

Vitalaser is a painless skin rejuvenating treatment that stimulates the growth of new cells. It increases the production of collagen and elastic fibres, so it can diminish the depth of striaes, which may disappear after a few treatments.

3. Derma roller

Needle roller stimulates the body’s self-healing mechanism and increases the collagen production. Collagen produced after the treatment can fill the lines of stretch mark, so they fade or may vanish completely.
